The interview process was 100% remote, I met with the manager of the team first. She gave me details about the role and told me what they were looking for in a candidate. She wanted to hear about me and my career goals, she was genuinely interested on getting to know me as a person, which made it feel more like a conversation than an interview, that was great! I met with a recruiter a few days later, she told me I passed the behavioral interview, and let me know I would be getting take a home project on my email. The purpose of the assignment was to get comfortable with the platform. As someone that started using it when I heard about the opening, it was relatively easy to start building on it. After familiarizing myself with it, I was able to finish the assignment in less than an hour. Then, there was a technical interview, other Support Engineers on the team asked questions about how to debug/build features on the app. The questions started very easy and escalated in difficulty over time. It was a fun interview, they were friendly. I met with the recruiter again a week later, we discussed compensation. A week after that I got an offer letter and toured the office a few days later. Everyone I met during the interview process was open to take questions at any point. They were all great listeners and it was obvious they loved working at Retool. Personally, this was the most fun interview process I've experienced in my career.
