I did a screening interview with a talent acquisition partner then spoke in person with the regional manager. After that, I talked to another regional manager and a regional vice president. All conversations would fairly loose and warm.

I went though the process of a phone interview with a recruiter, and then a video interview with the person who would be my direct supervisor. I was told that I was being passed along to the next step of the process, which would be a peer interview. When I hadn’t heard back about a week later, I followed up in hopes of scheduling. I was told by the recruiter that they had decided not to move forward with my application—which is fine, but why lie? Or at least send a follow up email to let me know that they had changed their minds about me as a candidate. If I had not reached out to follow up, I would have never heard back! They were planning on blowing me off. Unprofessional to say the least. I see it as a blessing now, as I can’t even imagine how employees are treated if this is how they treat prospective employees.
