I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Robinhood (Palo Alto, CA)
Interview
Thirty minute phone screen with hiring manager, financial modeling test over Google Hangouts, then 4 hour onsite at their Palo Alto office where I had 1:1 interviews with Head of Finance, COO, Head of Data, VP of BD, and Staff Accountant.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why do you want to work here? Mainly general questions as technical capabilities were handled during modeling test.
The HR contact for the initial interview was unfriendly and not very helpful.
The hiring manager, phew where to start:
-talked about how their products were faulty
-talked about how they were considering leaving although they’d only been there a short time
-barely listened to responses and seemed generally uninterested in getting to know me
-when asked who would be helping onboard me, they said it would be the person that would REPORT to me would
-gave no examples of team building opportunities for remote employees or any indication of a positive work life balance or culture
-overall the team and job just seemed to be a whole mess and unorganized
Pay also is NOT competitive
Do not recommend 0/5
