Of all the places that have wasted my time over the last year, Ruggable takes the cake. Ridiculously long interview process, and in-person interviews during Covid is so unnecessary.
It is also so unprofessional to ask a designer to do a free test, especially when they have many years of education and experience, a comprehensive portfolio and references.
No follow up and communication with HR is terrible. Salaries are also well below market rate. Would not recommend.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ruggable
Interview
Several phone interviews followed by a team member from every department. Very time consuming and unnecessary, took almost half of day. They should narrow down on interviewers, or have everyone together at the same time so the perspective job candidate doesn’t have to introduce themselves 7 times.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ruggable
Interview
Extremely drawn out and bureaucratic interview process. Initial HR screening was fine, and then onto the issues. Next interview was with hiring manager who asked for a project. Was told not to spend more 2-3 hours on it, which in reality, if you want to do a good job, you'll spend 2-3 days on it. Next set of interviews was with 4 different heads of departments plus the hiring manager. Not once was I asked about the project. HR followed up and asked if I was available for another interview with the hiring manager. That's 8 interviews total. 3 with the hiring manager. Horrendous process and have to assume it speaks loads to how the company is run.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
All 5 interviewers asked questions that were prepared by an outside consulting agency. Huge red flag. If you cannot trust your own team to ask their own questions, then I can only imagine the micromanaging that occurs inside.
