The process was overall pretty good, I knocked points off for having a live coding challenge which I'll get into...
I knew someone who worked there and saw that he posted on LinkedIn that they were hiring, so I reached out. He was able to put me in contact with a Rula recruiter.
I chatted with the recruiter for about 30 mins, which was very pleasant. We talked about my experience and what I was looking for in my next role.
I was then moved to the next round which consisted of a 45 min talk with an engineering manager. I felt this to be a little strange because while it was very casual, it felt like the manager was a little unprepared and was clearly reading from a list of questions, which I don't love.
She liked me enough to pass me along to the next round which was a 2-parter that consisted of a 50 min coding interview which was to create a solution for Conway's Game of Life and a 50 min architecture discussion.
I felt that these were both pretty high level for a level 1/level 2 eng position. I floundered during the coding exercise, but thought I did okay at the architecture.
I ultimately did not get the job.

Interview
Went through all rounds of interviews, which included a recruiter screening, hiring manager screening, and two coding interviews. The algorithms were not what I expected for this position, but in hindsight weren't too bad. I was offered feedback after my rejection, but the company did not follow through. This was truly disappointing considering their promised culture of feedback.
Talked to a recruiter for about 20 minutes about my background. Talked about the company for a little bit, and then asked me a few questions about my previous positions and a few "Tell me a time when..." questions. Tech stack lined up, but got a reject email a few days later.

I’m not sure what the whole process looks like. I ended up deciding that I needed the flexibility of post time/contract work, so I withdrew my name from consideration after recruiter screen. I think the next step would have been a hiring manager screen?
