30-minute initial phone interview. Followed by a small panel interview two weeks later. 3 interviewers and myself. Questions relevant to the position. The phone interview was more difficult than the panel interview.

Standard group interview format that is common for union organizing jobs. A panel of four people on the hiring committee led the interview of 15 applicants for five and a half hours. Aside from going an hour and a half over the scheduled time, during the one on one part the interviewer couldn’t keep her eyes open between asking questions. Total mismanagement of the schedule and a waste of the applicants time.

Most unprofessional organization I have EVER dealt with. The recruiter or hiring manager (I'm not even sure) called me at 11p twice to set up interview times. Granted, she's on the west coast and I am on east, but plan ahead. Totally unacceptable to call an applicant at that hour. Then, we set up a time and date for last Monday. I called her, she sent me to voicemail and then text me "give me 10 mins." 45 MINS later I text again and said do you need to reschedule? She said yes. Rescheduled for today at 4p. She's not on the call AGAIN and I text her at 430 and told her this is all very unprofessional and an indication of how SEIU-UHW runs. She text back and said they are busy trying to staff 3 locations. Not my problem-don't set up interviews and NOT show up for them!
