SSE Programmer Role interview questions

Process of applying, scheduling interviews, etc. all done online. Efficient but feels cold. Never spoke with anyone before or after interviews, which is rare for a senior specialist role. I would have welcome a chat with someone in the recruitment team to getter a better feel for the role, what the programme was about etc. Throughout the process, no one tried to sell me the role or promote the company; felt very one way and clinical. In fact, when I asked a couple of questions (when invited to do so), one of the panel commented that they felt like they were being interviewed. Yes, that’s because interviews are two-way! Needless to say, I didn’t feel I could ask any more questions even though I had so many due to lack of information ahead of the interview. I’m still very interested in the company and what they are aspiring to do, but didn’t connect with or feel inspired by the panels. Haven’t received any feedback after two interviews; only received an automated email. Disappointing after preparing a presentation with less than two days’ notice to do so. Didn’t receive a job offer but am okay with that after the experience. This wasn’t the team for me but will keep looking at other opportunities within the company.
