I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Schellman
Interview
The interview experience was incredible.
Brandon, who connected with me on LinkedIn, was amazing to work with and set me up with both rounds of interviews and handled the offer that followed.
The interviews were held over Zoom. I was first interviewed by two Senior Associates and subsequently, about a week later, by a Principal together with another Senior Associate.
The interviewers conveyed a sense of sincere interest in hearing about my background and experience. Likewise, they were eager to share insight and provide visibility into the Company, the team, and the role. I felt extremely positive about the interview experience and the conversations we had. I was really impressed that they replied promptly to my thank you note after the interview. I know they are busy and may likely have been interviewing multiple candidates, but I felt that my candidacy was genuinely considered and evaluated.
After navigating the interview process, I determined that these are the people and team I want to work with, and this is the Company I want to work for. I am elated that they made me an offer, which I accepted.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Schellman
Interview
Since I was interviewing during the COVID-19 crisis, there was a lot of uncertainty and general anxiety about changing employment and future job prospects. Both Lori and Ryan are extremely personable and transparent. That gave me confidence that I was joining a team with my personal development and self-interest at heart.

Question 1
Why are you looking to make a career change and what are your expectations as a new hire in a new industry?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Schellman in Apr 2020
Interview
Brandon Walker (Recruiter) initially reached out via LinkedIn for an ISO opportunity - at the time, I was happy at my current firm, however, Brandon graciously offered to keep the connection open if my situation changed. When the situation changed, I reached out to Brandon, he responded promptly and we spoke on the phone in no time. The energy from Brandon was incredible and his excitement got me excited for the opportunity! He was accommodating, transparent, punctual, and always kept me updated on the progress. He even connected me to another Senior ISO Auditor for me to get a glimpse of the day-in-life. The interview with the manager and partner was also incredible - they both were also transparent, amazing, and punctual.
I was floored by my experience with Schellman. Although I did not receive formal offer - they expressed interest in moving forward, however, I painfully declined for another opportunity. I was also informed that the recruiting process does not normally take a month (COVID). I can tell Schellman is an awesome firm just by the recruiting process alone. I hope to cross paths with them again.
