I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Scoot (Singapore) in Mar 2024
Interview
A Disheartening End to a Long-Held Dream
After years of passionate preparation, my Scoot cabin crew rejection feels especially bitter. I was confident in my skills, dedication, and ability to deliver exceptional service—qualities I believed they valued.
The final interviewer’s dismissive attitude raised red flags. Their apparent insecurity and bias against degree holders (despite Scoot’s own requirements) made the process feel unprofessional and contradictory.
Being told to “wait three months” for another chance adds insult to injury. How does one simply shelf years of preparation? While I wish Scoot success, this experience revealed disappointing gaps between their branding and actual hiring practices.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"Why do you want to work for Scoot, specifically"?
...followed by skepticism about your qualifications (e.g., "How does your degree relate to being cabin crew"?).
Yet to attend assessment day. I've only been through the online process thus far and have now progressed to the AC cabin crew day. Having done the online test/personality test.
Assessment Day:
1: Document & Grooming Check - qualifications, English proficiency, and physical checks
2: Verbal Assessment - evaluate your communication and spoken English skills.
3: Group Discussion - Team-building and role-play exercises to observe your teamwork, problem-solving, and "Scootitude".
4: Final Interview - 1-on-1 interview and role-play
Just be yourself and be confident. It will be having a few stages, from group, small group to individual. Will be having random questions, like you pick a word then you describe the word or tell your experience.
