Received a call from the recruiting department and was offered an interview for a location not applied for. Scheduled the virtual interview anyway, just for no one to show at the scheduled time. Waited 15 minutes and emailed the point if contact, nothing. After 30 minutes called and was told to hold while things were figured out. Two days later they set up a second date, saying they really wanted to meet with me but couldn't for at least two weeks. Already I know this is a bad sign, but agree to their schedule. Within three days received an email saying how they appreciated my interest; my resume was quite impressive, but as a leading company in the industry the see many impressive resumes. Which no doubt is true, but save the politically correct BS and just say they filled the position. In the end, I'm glad the position was filled, this process was very disorganized, and I was really debating cancelling the second appointment anyway. I've spent enough time in dysfunctional positions to start another. Your experience may differ and I hope it is better than my own.
