10/4 Morning : Applied online using indeed; included Cover Letter & Resume 10/4 Afternoon: Received email from recruiter scheduling a phone interview for 10/7 10/7: Phone interview with same recruiter. Discussed the company, my resume, and went through a few behavioral questions. I felt like I knocked it out of the park. At the end of the interview, I was offered an in-person interview on 10/11. 10/8: Received an email asking me to complete three online quizzed prior to the in person interview; completed all three immediately and felt I did well on all three. 10/11: In person interview; first met with two team leads from the support team who made small talk, asked a few behavioral questions, and answered my questions about the department and the company. This portion seemed to go pretty well as we laughed and joked around, and it felt like a good fit. Next, I met with the leader of support, who only asked a couple questions, scanned my resume, and wrapped things up quickly. I got the vibe that he either didn't like me, or found me overqualified so he pushed me out the door pretty fast. 10/14: Received rejection email Overall, the interview process was kind of weird. Being that I'm in my late 20's, it was brought up that I'd be one of the oldest people at the company and that they "hire for fit" so I think my age worked against me. Also, the leader of support told me they were desperate for new hires and they were hiring at least 6, and being that I was completely (if not over-) qualified, I'm confused about the rejection. Either way, it looks like a fun and supportive place to work. 10/14: Received rejection email.
