I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sezzle in May 2020
Interview
On the day of my interview, I received a phone call a couple minutes after our designated time. The total time for our call was 35 minutes. The call began with the individual giving me a description of the role, asking what I knew about the company and leting me know there would be time at the end for my questions. The individual asked me several questions requesting me to relay anecdotes from various instances in my professional career , e.g. 'tell me about a time when....' etc.
I have three things about the process that I did not feel positively about:
-the individual interviewing me spoke really quickly and was not always clear in their responses to my questions
-the individual's responses to my answers seemed inauthentic and generic
-at the end of the interview I was told that while waiting for their response, I was welcome to send any other questions via email. The following morning I wrote them an email thanking them for their time and asking one additional question: "Is there a system in place to allow staff to provide feedback or offer ideas to leadership?" I never received an answer to the question. Two days later - they only sent me a form email stating that I did not receive the job offer.
*I want to note that in the interview I stated that I was looking for a company that I could have a long term career in. I followed that by asking about the possibility for employees to grow in the company and get offered opportunities for new roles. My impression of their response was that the individual interviewing me was not prepared to answer this question which led me to wonder if the company was really looking to hire people for long term positions and offer them to room to grow - or - just fill seats (which is what my intuition tells me about this company)

Question 1
Tell me about a time when someone wasn't happy with your work and how you handled it
I had a 30-minute phone interview with general questions. I was then asked to come in for an interview in person the following week. I met and interviewed separately with 3 individuals, all questions were different from person to person. I was offered a job the next two days.
