I went through 5 rounds of 30 min interviews over the course of a month: Sr. recruiter, Manager, a group interview with 3 of the team members, Director, and finally a team lead. After all that, the recruiter emailed me two weeks after my last interview to let me know they had gone in a different direction with no further details as to why. I replied with gratitude for the opportunity, asking for feedback on the process and determining areas in which I could improve should I apply in the future, and received no response. I would hope after over a month of interviewing and 5 separate conversations that they could at least provide some kind of explanation. The group interview with the team was fairly uncomfortable, as we sat in silence for the first minute until I asked if I should tell them a little about myself… They told me they were not sure what they were meant to be doing, whether it was an interview or just getting to know me. It was odd, and they didn’t seem prepared.

I had 2 phone interviews (one with recruiter, one with hiring manager) as well as an on-site interview with the hiring manager, and a separate panel interview. I was told they would let me know one way or another within 2 weeks. After two weeks, I sent the recruiter and email, as well as left a voicemail for the recruiter and the hiring manager. Neither ever responded. Additionally, the recruiter stated many times that SNC would reimburse travel expenses to the interview. I filled out the reimbursement form as instructed, but never received the reimbursement, or feedback that they needed more information or anything else. The recruiters were very nice, but the hiring manager kept checking IM and email during interview, to the point of distraction, and asked me to repeat a couple of answers. The reason given was, "This is just how we do things around here."
