I applied online. I interviewed at Smartsheet in Aug 2017
Interview
The turnaround is quick, I was reached out by a recruiter less than a week after I had applied. I had an hour-long interview with him about the role, team, and company, and then went in to present to the team, acting as the role I was applying for. Having spent a great deal of time prepping and taking the day off, I was very disappointed to learn the next day that they had chosen a candidate with Smartsheet application experience. It seems like they already selected that candidate, and having known that they were already familiar with the product, I am surprised they had me come in and present in the first place. I wish they were more conscious of my time as a candidate working full-time.
The team was friendly and competent, but I feel like my time was wasted.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Smartsheet (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2024
Interview
I found Smartsheet's interview process to be extremely unprofessional and insulting. After applying for the SC Position on the company website, I received an email from a Smartsheet recruiter wanting to set up a phone screen. I replied the same day letting the recruiter know that I had selected the following Thursday on her online calendar for us to connect. When the day of the interview came around, I received an email from the recruiter, 15 minutes before our scheduled start time, stating that her "laptop shut down" and we would have to reschedule and to let her know my availability for the following week. I provided my availability for the following week within 15 minutes of receiving her email and she just never got back to me. I followed up on Monday, and then again on the following Monday and still nothing. I spent hours prepping, all to never even get the chance to interview. If the position is not hiring anymore or I am no longer being considered, at least have the decency to communicate that.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Smartsheet (Bellevue, WA) in Sep 2024
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter for a phone screen, and when the time came, she mentioned she had technical difficulties and would need to reschedule. Totally okay!
She then proceeded to ghost me and never work to reschedule, even after I reached out again a week later to confirm that the process would move forward, never an explanation or anything, Felt incredibly disrespectful especially since I was really excited about the opportunity. Never felt treated so poorly by a recruiter during the interview process
Very easy interview, started with a behavioral screening, then a more in-depth discussion, followed by a process presentation. The team was very responsive and I heard back with an offer within a few days.
