I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Smile Direct Club (Nashville, TN) in Jun 2018
Interview
The process was quick and easy. Within days of applying on their website, i received a call and had an initial phone interview. Standard questions were asked and nothing tricky to trip me up was asked. After about 15-20 minutes on the phone, a formal interview was set up for the following week. The formal interview was stress free, again typical interview questions were asked. The interview lasted approximately an hour. After the formal interview, I received an offer of employment within about a week and a half to two weeks. I accepted! The overall experience was positive. I didn’t feel neglected or left wondering for long.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Smile Direct Club (Toronto, ON) in May 2023
Interview
Received an email almost immediately after applying for the role. 30-minute interview was scheduled for next day. HR person on the call was very abrupt, and basically had a non-existent personality. The call only lasted 9 minutes and basically it was just a brief run-down of my resume. Of course they asked salary expectations which I absolutely hate, and this role offers the option for both FTE and contract so I gave two different amounts. I honestly doubt I'll be selected as I'm clearly overqualified and I highly doubt they would pay the range I'm looking for. It's unfortunate as they're only going to end up with high turnover for this position if they go with someone more junior (and/or cheaper).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Honestly no questions other than what type of experience I had, which could have been clearly identified had they just reviewed my resume.
Simple and direct, board interview with management. I enjoyed talking to everyone, HR personnel can be a little confused and I was screened twice.
I am not sure about the onboarding but once you are in, they really care.

Specific technical questions regarding the job and general finance questions.

Interview
The interview consisted of a HR phone screen, 30 minutes with the Sr. Manager, and 30 minutes with Director. It was incredibly casual, they were in gym clothes for the conversation.
After the final interview, I was told the hiring manager would be in touch and they ghosted. Such a disappointing end, but reflects the company culture likely.
