I applied in-person. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Snap in Jul 2017
Interview
Very poorly organized by the recruiter, unprecedented bait and switch of job titles and scope of role, and severe lack of communication. The recruiter was disorganized and pushed the phone interview a couple times. Job was posted as a manager but the role and interview switched to an analyst role without notice when I came in for personal interviews. The interview was standard and I met with 4 employees on various Finance teams. Some were more engaged than others. Ultimately the interviews lasted 3 hours but were a waste of time because the scope of the role was downgraded to an analyst without my knowing. I was giving answers related to the original manager job description, which confused some of the interviewers as they did not know the recruiter originally screened me from a manager job posting. So they were not informed by the recruiter of the confusion either and were describing the analyst role which was below my experience level. Because of the poor HR recruiting process I am not surprised at company’s current state. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional and disorganized HR function as Snap’s at any other company I have interviewed at. Lesson is to always clarify that the job you applied for is the same job they are bringing you in to actually interview for. Never thought that would be an issue but go figure.
