      Machine Learning Engineer Interview

      Mar 25, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Snap in Mar 2024

      Interview

This was a phone screen. Consists of 3 parts: 20 min values, 20 min coding, 20 min applied ML. Values Pretty standard behavioral questions, describe a situation etc Coding Asked me a hard LC question about how to get median of 2 sorted arrays (Leetcode #4). ML Asked to explain attention layer In the end, I feel like even for MLE, this was on the advanced side of both DSA and ML theory, which doesn't sound reasonable. On top of this, the interviewer had horrible communication skills and couldn't answer even most basic questions properly.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

Given two sorted arrays nums1 and nums2 of size m and n respectively, return the median of the two sorted arrays. The overall run time complexity should be O(log (m+n)).
      Answer question

      Question 2

Explain attention layer, self-attention, cross-attention, and multi-head attention layer.
      Answer question
      4
