Interview
The intake process for this position consists of multiple rounds and feels unnecessarily excessive for the role. The company presents the process as if it were a top-tier tech giant, which felt disconnected from reality.
During the intake interview, the dynamic was oddly reversed. I found myself driving the conversation and asking most of the questions, while there was little genuine interest in my background or experience. This left the impression that the interview was conducted merely as a formality, possibly to tick a box or fill scheduled interview hours, rather than to seriously evaluate candidates.
Recruiter call, hm call, onsite panel interview , standard, nothing stand out. Got rejected after onsite about 1 week and half. They were looking for someone more aligned with their value
HR reached out to propose a job. Then the hr organized a meeting with the hiring manager on a bank holiday day - so the hiring manager didn’t show up. The interview was rescheduled after 3 weeks and later postponed by another week by the hiring manager.
I completed a test which could have been misinterpreted because of some bias in the questions which were depending on the context but it wasn’t given.
The interview with the hiring manager went well so I was invited on an on-site interview at the office. The hiring manager didn’t show up and the interview was run by other 2 designers (one at the office and one remote: so what’s the point of scheduling an in-person meeting?!).
All went well.

I had generally good experience in all the interview rounds. Everyone I met was professional and approachable. I had few online rounds of interviews, one on site, and then last round online.
