I applied online. I interviewed at Sonar (Geneva) in Sep 2022
Interview
1st round technical discussion with basic java interview questions
2nd round: on-site 3 hour coding exercise (simple thing, where you should use solid and write tests), after that lunch with the team
3rd round: cultural fit interview. I failed at this round because apparently collaboration is not my strong side. My guess would be that I mentioned that I am an introvert.
I would have appreciated to have this round in the beginning, before spending a day onsite.

Question 1
Q: What is mocking and what do you use it for?
Q: SOLID
Interview process is very well structured. But there are so many rounds.. like 5 to 6 rounds. There is one 3 hrs coding round without any break. Other than that everything was very good and it was really an informative session
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Sonar in Nov 2025
Interview
I've interviewed in October-December 2025. The whole process took ~ 5 weeks. It included 6 interviews (2 of them mostly technical) and 2 additional online tests. Despite so many interviews I felt rather relaxed and enjoyed the experience. All interviewers were very friendly and pleasant. The cool thing is that they changed the process and now they suggest several short behavioral interviews with different people. I liked it!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Rather standard q-s like:
- Why do you want to join us?
- Tell about disagreement.
- How would you described by the people from your last companies?
As well as some "check" questions about milestones in my CV.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sonar (Austin, TX) in Nov 2025
Interview
30 min HR call
45 min tech screen
4 hour on-site 3 hours of which were spent locked in a conference room alone. Rudest experience I've had in my career.

Question 1
The on-site question was pretty basic more designed to evaluate coding style than technical skill
