Interview
The hiring process consisted of six distinct stages:
Stage 1: Code Assignment - A 1-hour coding challenge on the Codility platform, comprising 3 LeetCode-style questions.
Stage 2: Recruiter Interview (Jan) - This was a highly positive experience. The recruiter was exceptionally supportive throughout the process, providing prompt feedback after each stage. Their professionalism and encouragement were much appreciated.
Stage 3: Technical Q&A - An interview with two developers, one leading the questions and the other taking notes. The environment was stress-free and designed to make candidates feel comfortable.
Stage 4: System Design Interview - This stage involved designing an ETL process. It was a challenging yet enjoyable experience, marking my first exposure to this type of interview. The interviewer's approach ensured a comfortable atmosphere.
Stage 5: People & Culture Interview - A standard interview focused on behavioral questions, such as handling specific workplace situations.
Stage 6: CTO Interview - Similar in format to the previous stage.
While the process was extensive, the positive interactions, particularly with the recruiter and the technical interviewers, fostered a sense of optimism and encouragement to continue through each stage.
