I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Sony Music Entertainment (New York, NY) in May 2016
Interview
Long 3 months...TWICE! I have been called twice different years to apply for a job here. Both times very similar jobs but twice the procedure is so long, questions are nonsense that I go through the process but know i will not accept, just to keep my skills sharp. A company that takes so long only is an indication of how much red tape they have. Not for me

Question 1
It was itense, many questions that had little to do with the industry or the market. More of a "let see if you are smart" example question: what would make you jump infront of a train?...WHAT?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sony Music Entertainment (New York, NY)
Interview
Straightforward and simple process, I applied online and received an email a few days later. After a quick intro phone call, the position ended up not being a good fit for what I was looking for.

Interview
Had 3 interviews for an Associate Director position in NYC. All 3 interviews were very conversational. They did ask a bunch of technical questions, but the casual atmosphere allowed me to excel in answering. Received follow ups and communication from recruiting team throughout the process.

Question 1
How do you deal with "high-strung" artist management?
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Sony Music Entertainment (New York, NY) in Jul 2019
Interview
Had HR screening, 3 rounds of interviews (2 in person and 1 over the phone), and worked on a case study. More than 3 weeks after final round and no feedback to candidate so this tells me that this company isn't respectful of my time and value my talent so I won't apply again. It's common courtesy to inform your candidate whether a decision has been made after all the time spent on the interview process.
Very disappointed in such a reputable company on how they handle interview process.
