Interview
First interview was a 20 min Teams call talking about yourself & a little bit about the role. If you get past this stage, you sit in a call with all other shortlisted candidates and the heads of the department, they’ll talk about the label, the internship and give you a chance to ask a couple of questions. Then you have your second interview which is usually the final one with two of the team on the label that you would report to. I was asked to do a presentation on the label & create a few slides on ideas I had from questions they set me. Then they asked a few basic questions & gave me a chance to ask too. Overall the interview process was quite long as it’s over a few months, however everyone was super friendly & always made me feel at ease.

Long, it takes months. A very long application process, making a video of yourself answering questions. Very little feedback. They say you don't need to show your face but they want to see your face. They ONLY take people who have a background in music, everyone else is welcome to apply but you won't get anywhere with Sony Music. For some reason they think only people with a background in the music business can do an internship. Rubbish process. Antiquated application process where they ask you to make a video.
