I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Tampa, FL) in Jun 2019
Interview
I threw in my application last time they opened in February of 2018. They emailed me to see if I was still interested. I scheduled a phone interview for a few days later from an Arizona number. I wasn’t sure how I felt about the phone interview so I sweat it out for several days. On that Friday I received a phone call saying I passed and was moving to the F2F. They flew me out to Dallas and the whole experience was phenomenal. Southwest really is the best. Interview day started with taking the shuttle to the headquarters building (the one with lots of airplanes hanging from the ceiling!) you will check in, and then wait with others. It was a small group (which helped tremendously) my last few interviews with other airlines were 50+ others, so this felt extremely welcoming. You can have beverages and snacks while you wait. They will call you up for finger printing and identification checks. Then you go to a conference room and they chat about the company, LUV, the job, etc. again showing that southwest humor! Then you will go to your one on one interview. It was very welcoming, friendly, laughable. I don’t even remember the questions they asked because I was so excited.
I received a call a few days later letting me know that I did indeed get a contingent offer!
I did my drug test and background check, currently waiting for a training date! I can’t wait to fly with LUV!

So far, it has been moving at a great pace. I have only completed my on demand interview, and I am scheduled to attend my face to face in the near future! The online interview was great - be yourself, smile, and use the uninterrupted time to really express yourself! I'm very grateful for this opportunity and best of luck to all those applying!
