Applied for the Summer internship in the Fall, had two phone interviews in January. The first was with HR and the second was the department I was applying for. They called me back in March and told me I didn't get it and to apply for the fall internship. In June I found out I got it.

Interview process was speedy and smooth! It was pleasant experience. First there was a phone call interview, then I got a video interview with the department heads (8 or so of them). It was a bit intimidating to have an interview with that many people but was an overall rewarding experience.
Situational and behavioral interview. One screening and one panel interview. Whole process took about a month. Very good communication from recruiter throughout the process. Best to know Southwest values and culture going into the interview.
