I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Spencer Gifts
Interview
I came in asked if they were hiring. The guy behind the counter told me how to apply online and wished me good luck. I got a call a week and a half later. I met the manager at the store 10 minutes early and we went and sat down at a table in the food court we went over the jobs duties and basically talked about each other it was pretty easy. and after, he told me that I have to wait for the district manger( he makes the decisions) to call and that's what I'm waiting for...

I applied online. I interviewed at Spencer Gifts (Santa Maria, CA)
Interview
Mine was a small group interview, one person didn't show up so it was just me and another person. At first we all sit down and take turns being asked questions. They were basic questions based on what you'd do in certain situations, relevant experiences you've had, how you would handle negative customer interactions, etc. Then afterwards you do a fun roleplay in the store where the interviewer pretends to be a customer in a certain scenario and you try to respond in the appropriate way based on the scenario. We were asked to show how we'd greet customers, how we would suggest items, and how we would promote our current sales items. After that the interview is over.

I applied Online they called me about a week later to come in for an interview. I ended up having an interview with one of the girls who never interviewed before so it was more laid back! But overall I met the other manager and supervisor and they were great!
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Spencer Gifts (Thousand Oaks, CA) in Nov 2015
Interview
I got a voicemail from the manager about a job I applied fora while back. I called back, we agreed on a time and we sat down right outside the store for about 15 minutes. He asked about previous employers briefly, but more so wanted to get a feel of my personality and how I would deal with a difficult customer and unethical coworkers. I was told he would call me back with a response to my application/interview later on in the week.
