Applied for the position back in February. Received an invitation to the interview session for March 3 in FLL but couldn't attend because I got super sick the night before. However, a few weeks later I got another invitation to the FLL event on April 13. I prepared myself by coming on here and going through ALL the reviews. I also went on youtube and watched a few videos on what to wear. Word of advice, dress professionally. Ladies, put the hair in a bun. And the heels, polished and low. Its gonna be a long day. I got there at 5:30 and there were already 5 people there who drove a long way to be there. Be sociable. Talk to people. The recruiters started showing up around 6:15. Greet them. Remember you are being judged from the second you get there. They split us into 2 lines and went around checking paperwork. Whatever they ask you to have out, have it out. Don't waste their time. I was at the front of the line and got a low number. The earlier you are, the faster the process will be for you because they do everything by numerical order, including f2fs. They let us into the auditorium and began the presentation. Be involved and pay attention. Keep a smile on your face. There were about 500 applicants in the room. After the presentation, they split us up into groups by the color on our name tags and sent us into different rooms. Thats when they had us choose random questions from the fish bowl and answer them in front of the group of about 70 other applicants and recruiters. They ask you to say your name and number, read the question and answer it then repeat your name and number. One thing: be brief. Don't drag your answer on and on. Get to the point, smile and project. They left the room to discuss everything and made cuts and were back in 15 minutes. I learned from here that they would call numbers, and the people whose numbers were called were cut. That happened and about 60% of the room got cut. They congratulate you, and cut for lunch. They tell you to meet back in a certain room to starts off f2fs. They call you in groups of 5 by numerical order 😉 and color and send you upstairs to await your f2f. I was one of the first people to get called and I believe that gave me an edge. In the f2f, they have you turn in a waiver for lifting 40 pounds and then lift a bag over your head. Afterwards, they ask you the typical f2f questions like "why do you want to be a flight attendant" and "tell me about a time when you had to deal with an upset customer". Look up the star format and answer all of the situational questions with it. After the interview, they send you to the decision room. I waited for 5 minutes until they called me, and one other person out, to follow them back upstairs. I honestly thought that I was gonna get cut there and then but she told me I made it! They take you to a room upstairs and have you do paperwork and do drug tests etc. And thats the end of the day. I was out if there by 2:30. Now I have a mother who is super proud of me, and 4 weeks of intense training to look forward to.
