      Flight Attendant Interview

      Dec 20, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Orlando, FL
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Spirit Airlines (Orlando, FL) in Dec 2016

      Interview

The interview process is as described. I interviewed in Orlando in December for positions in Detroit and Dallas. There were approximately 400 people in attendance. You must have all your paperwork in order or you are turned away. Next, you sit in a ballroom while you listen to executives discuss their company and customer service. They are watching you at all times. The second step is the fish bowl question. They are looking for voice projection, quick on your feet and your appearance. If your number is called you do not go to the second round. After that, we were given a break for 1 hour and then we re-convened in the ballroom. There were approximately 200 people at this point. You will then be called for your brief interview. I have no idea how they choose who goes in what order, because I waited for 3 hours before my number was called! And again, they are watching you at all times. You must remain professional looking in your appearance and behavior during this period. The interview only took 2 minutes. I was surprised. They ask you situational questions. After the interview, we went to another room and waited again. I was offered the job and then had to fill out a lot of paperwork. Please know you are tired and the room is very cold and there is no food or water. I estimate that there were 80 people chosen but not all go to training. If you follow them on twitter, their classes are usually much smaller. They did not give me my first choice base and I heard from several others the same thing happened to them. I think they over hire because many people turn down the job when they find out their base and seriously re-consider the job. It was an expensive experience so again think carefully. Also, I studied all the comments and questions from Glassdoor reviewers and I was offered the job. A person I met, did not do any prep and had not read Glassdoor and was not offered the job. Good luck!
