I applied online. I interviewed at Spirit Airlines (Miramar, FL) in Jan 2023
Interview
About a month after i applied, i got a first interview. The first interview was a phone screen - they ask about your resume and go into more detail about the job. Most of it was explaining the details about benefits. They explained that there's an in person interview that includes an excel test. They explained the different date/ time options and said to expect an email. When you get the email, you choose a date/ time for the interview. The interview was at the office. It was three parts - 1) "about spirit" presentation and introduction to some people in the group 2) one on one interview 3) excel test and map/ time zone test. During the intro, several employees introduced themselves by saying their favorite hobby. More than half of them said sleep. That should have been a huge red flag. The one on one was a typical behavioral interview. What's your biggest weakness? what does safety mean to you? Why are you a good candidate for this job? Excel test was just copy and paste. Map test gave you a map of the USA with the time zones shown. There were a few questions like, if it's 9am in Orlando, what time is it in Las Vegas? I got a call the next later with an offer. There was no drug test, despite multiple references to the drug test.

Interview
There was a phone screen where they went over the job requirements and benefits. After that, I was invited to an in-person interview at the Miramar office. It started in a conference room. They introduced the company and several team members who had started off as crew schedulers and were quickly promoted. From there, there were a few different activities that candidates were pulled out of the conference room for at different times. 1) 1 on 1 interview with two team members. 2) time zone map test and a excel test. No drug test. I got an offer a few days later.
time zone map test: You are given a map of the united states with state borders and time zone lines drawn in. The state names are not listed. question: a flight leaves from MCO at 9AM. What time is that in Las Vegas?

Interview
You don't make it to the interview if you're white. As soon as the recruiter found out I'm a white person, they never responded, called back, wrote another email, nothing. They are only looking for non white personnel.
