Applied online, IQ and personality test, and got invited to attend an invitation only open house about 2 weeks later.
Be prepared to stay the entire day and be happy about it! haha
6:30 am: Arrived to interview, about 55 people already there. Get there early!!!!!!!
7:00 am: Start registration process
8:00 am: Start video presentation and introductions to Spirit
This part was so fun!! It was a relaxed but professional atmosphere. Everybody was so nice, funny, and made you feel comfortable.
09:30 am: Short Break
09:45 am : They divided us by name tag color and we went into separate rooms. Table by table we went to the front of the room, grabbed a question out of the fishbowl, stated your number, name, and read the question out loud. Answered the question. Stated name and number again. They were random questions you wouldn't think of! They are looking for voice projection, professional look, quick thinking, and if you can follow their directions by stating your name and number how they say.
10:45: They come back in the room and call numbers, people who were called were eliminated.
11:00: Divide us into groups, gave us paper, markers, and had us come up with an airline name, motto, and the top 5 characteristics your flight attendants would have. They gave us about 15 minutes for that. They are looking for participation, smiles, teamwork, and a little bit of leadership (no bossy bobs)
11:15: Each group presents their airline. They are looking for if you follow their directions, smiling, voice projection, confidence, professionalism, and teamwork still!
11:45: They come back into the room and call numbers, if they call your numbersask you to come with them then congrats!! You made it to the f2f interviews!!!
12:00-1:00: lunchtime (you are responsible for your lunch)
1:00 - Got put in a room, they had you fill out your 10 year work history. Get called down to the f2f interviews, do the 50 pound bag lift over your head, and proceed with the f2f interview. You recite a flight attendant announcement that they give you and just fill in two blanks. Make it your own, project and sound friendly!! After they have you sell them something off of their menu! Then onto the normal work questions!
1:45 - put in the "decision room" If you are called up to the front and told to follow somebody in the hall, you didn't make it. If they ask you to put some information on the computer...congrats!!!!! You made it!! Yay!!
Spent the rest of the time doing the drug test, background check, and filling out paperwork.
Advice: Be friendly, mingle with everybody, be your true self, prepare, have fun, smile, and DO NOT wear something provocative. Dress like a professional flight attendant!! Skirt (knee length) or black slacks, small high heels, button up collared shirt, and a nice dress jacket to go over it. Long hair? Put it up! And the best thing you can wear? Your smile!! :) :)
