I thought the interview went well then was rejected after the weekend due to a baseless reason. If an interviewer frames their questions in a self deprecating way it’s probably because they know the company they represent is trash. They may reject you due to how threatening they perceive you to be due to your potential.

Spoke with HR, spoke with hiring manager, spoke with director. Three separate interviews, all were about forty five minutes long and did not run over. Standard personality and situational interview questions.
