I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Spotify
Interview
Had a video chat with a hiring manager, then someone on the team I was applying to work for. It was pretty casual and conversational for the most part and the team was pleasant and friendly.

Describe some applicable background/work experiences
I applied online. I interviewed at Spotify (Los Angeles, CA) in Dec 2020
Interview
Two rounds of phone/video interviews, first with a recruiter and then with a member of the hiring team. I interviewed for two similar positions. For one, I was asked to complete some work on my own time as a test. Both times the recruiter and hiring teams were somewhat or completely unresponsive after the second round interview. Overall I was disappointed with the level of communication. You should offer candidates feedback after the time they've put into the interview process.
