I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Spotify in Nov 2021
Interview
Very streamlined interview process, met with about 4 different people, 1 in each round. The process was long and there were a lot of waiting periods. The people were great to talk to and felt very engaged throughout the process. Recruiting team was also great to work with.

Question 1
Previous experience, why Spotify, how I've dealt with difficult situations (with specific examples)
The process was very strange — the recruiter was having a personal emergency so she was 10m late then the hiring manager had to cancel the interview halfway through and reschedule. During the rescheduled interview, they were actually 15 minutes late. And they didn’t ask me many questions and seemed distracted. Overall it was an unprofessional experience
It took months. Communication was very spotty. Felt like I was being totally strong along. The job itself changed several times over those months. It was emotionally draining and I would never interview with them again.
