I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sprout Social in Dec 2024
Interview
Good until it wasn’t. The whole interview process went really smoothly starting with the recruiter. She was very open and honest and ensured to provide good feedback. After 2 rounds of interviews- with the recruiter and one of the managers, I had my third. The third interview was to present about myself, my experience, and pitch on a Zoom call a product that would align with sprout social, and ultimately need it. Halfway through my interview, a manager by the name of Marco randomly threw in the Zoom chat “no for me.” I was completely shocked. The rest of the interview felt like a dumpster fire and I could not focus on anything besides what that manager had said. I believe he meant to say “no for me” to the other manager in a private chat on his thoughts on me as a candidate.
Later, I explained to the recruiter what happened and she “assured” me he responded to a question I asked the team as “no for me.” I believe this is false based on the fact that he responded and spoke to me through the Zoom call, not via the Zoom chat.
I could not believe the dishonesty and disarray of this interview process. I went through three interviews ultimately wasting my time to be greeted by someone who does not know how to use basic technology.
Glad I went another direction….
