For the front end role, you will be asked to build a complete front and backend to shorten urls. You will be expected to use make to install and run your applications - as you are expected to build both environments as a front end dev.
You will be expected to store urls into a datastore of your choosing and be able to speak to your hashing strategy to shorten urls, and optimizations to said strategy. Additionally you should consider caching strats for the db to assist an already read heavy datastore - as a front end dev.
