I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sun Life (Toronto, ON) in Apr 2022
Interview
Had two interviews for two different positions.
One went directly to hiring manager other went to HR for standardized questions. Direct to hiring manager seemed slightly haphazard in their questioning. Overall not an unpelasant process, but doing things remote made things slightly odd.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a situation where you had to influence other teams/individuals.
Straightforward - met with HR, then met with the hiring manager and peers. The questions were expected. Some behavioural and some technical. Overall, it was pretty average. The interviews were over zoom, so it was convenient to take.
Applied online - recruiter screening call - hiring manager interview - skip level interview - final interview from a leader in a different team. Whole process took about a month from the start of the recruiter call.
Screening call, 3 rounds of interviews with senior management. Standard q&as about work experience. Generally easy and pleasant interview process altogether. Be ready with questions at the end of the interview.
