A recruiter approached me on LinkedIn. They shared some info about the role, and we booked an interview. Right off the bat, I was informed that they were hiring someone else for this role but wanted to chat with me, which is fine, but I would have appreciated a message about that before the call. I received a standard rejection message a few days later.
