-phone screen with recruiter: easy. I addressed negative glassdoor reviews. recruiter was uncomfortable with. didn't explain why talkdesk was a great company to work for now.
-hiring manager: checklist questions, not behavioral, fast-paced, little time for my questions.
There was no follow up. After I met with the hiring manager, I wrote a thank you note. I never heard back from them, nor the recruiter. There was no automated or personal rejection. Just nothing. I understand that in this time where applications are at an all-time high, it's hard for recruiting teams to follow up with every applicant. However, after one has invested in a phone screen and hiring manager interview, it's a courtesy to touch base with the candidate to let them know if there will be next steps or not. Unfortunately the lack of follow up is the norm now and I find it very off-putting.
I would advise the recruiting team to remember that the applicants they have may very well be software purchasers (or hiring managers) in the future.

Interview
I recently interviewed for a Manager position at Talkdesk, and while I was excited about the opportunity, my experience was not that great.
There were a few areas where the process fell short. Firstly, the hiring manager round and the peer-level interview round were quite underprepared and asked very basic questions. The process post-interview was also delayed, leaving me uncertain about the next steps. I felt that they were already having a candidate in mind whom they'd want to offer and interviewing me just for the sake of it.
Overall, the experience left me with reservations about the company’s organization and communication. Clearer communication, better preparation, and more transparency or clarity would have significantly improved my experience.
