I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Teck Resources Limited (Montreal, QC) in Feb 2018
Interview
I applied through my universities career website, and was invited to interview within 2 weeks from the application deadline. The interview was informal and held at the career center for my university. I was interviewed by a recruiter and a mining engineer from a nearby location, but was interviewed mostly by the recruiter. The interview lasted about 45 minutes and consisted of 2/3 of the time answering interview questions, and 1/3 of the time them talking about the coop position and life at the mine. All behavioral questions, no technical questions, with a lot of focus being placed on how you would handle certain situations or conflicts, as well as safety at the job site. I was told I would get a response within 2 weeks, and that if accepted would have to take a pre-employment drug test.

Question 1
As a younger person and a student, how would you convince more senior engineers or plant operators to make a change to the operation?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Teck Resources Limited in Aug 2019
Interview
I applied through their website and got a call to schedule a skype interview. Interview was roughly 25 minutes and very informal. The focus was all on behavioral questions as well as what you know about Teck/Highland Valley. The interviewer gave a very in depth description of the role and working conditions at HVC. I received an offer a week after the interview.
