I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Teck Resources Limited (Vancouver, BC)
Interview
The interview for the Race21 Efficiency Program.
The interview process consisted of phone screening with the internal recruiter followed by personality/skills test and 1-1 video conference with the hiring manager several weeks later.
The initial phone interview with the recruiter was one of the better phone screen interviews I've experienced. This person not only asked the typical screening questions such as "Tell me about your self" but also asked about specific Agile processes for work prioritisation, specific case scenarios when interacting with the team members and stakeholders. You could tell that the recruiter knew well the role expectations and also answered my role-related questions. All the next steps were clearly defined with extra information sent via email.
I'm rating the overall experience as negative as the experience with a hiring manager was a totally different story. This was the worst interview I ever had and I feel sorry for people which have to work with this person on a daily basis. Absolute lack of leadership skills. The entire tone of the conversation felt very condescending and in fact misogynist. This person pointed out that "they have to hire women" and pointed out that doesn't have a time to mentor the team as he has 30 reports to write... The person seemed to be fixated on how well Teck Systems is paying - repeated it several times.

Interview
Quick first round of interviews with basic questions about why leaving the current position. The HR representative insisted on the expected salary range even though I said I wasn't uncomfortable giving this information.
The interview process started off well. After the first round of interviews with HR, I was told I'll be speaking with the hiring manager but then the next week I got an email that my experience doesn't match.

Interview
Unpleasant interview process and HR showed zero interests in having a conversation. Didn't ask questions about product management experience or any professional knowledge, instead only focused on questions about how to handle conflicts at work, if I can drive and if I'm willing to visit mining sites.
