First, recruiter phone call (30min), online video interview (30min), online response simulation (60min), remote hiring manager+Google Mandiant contractors panel interview. The hiring manager let the contractors lead the interview. It was odd that the manager had no questions, and the questions asked were extremely deep cuts about cybersecurity nobody could possibly memorize. It felt like Google was ensuring they don't get replaced by new hires. The manager doesn't have much recent cybersecurity experience (last several years as an actor). When asked what the plan for the team is, they really had nothing substantive to say. They have been hiring for the same cybersecurity positions for about 6 months. They also start with 3 weeks vacation, even for Leads. After the interview, I was ghosted. Wouldn't have accepted an offer at the top of their range anyways, though.
