I applied for the computational linguist position, but got rejected from email 7 days after sending the application. They told they are not pursuing my resume anymore. I think they strictly require industrial experience

HR and interviewers not on same page re: job responsibilities, amount of travel, etc. Frustratingly long time between each stage of interviewing or testing (typically 2-3 weeks). HR provided incorrect info about who would be attending in-person interview, so I couldn't prepare as well as I could have if I had known. Final interviewers seem to want to hire product manager + computational linguist rolled into one.
