We all had to perform team building exercises like building a tower of straws, it was quite demanding and I heard afterwards that they had hired someone through a current employee, and only held the interview because they were required to.

i applied online, got offered an interview within 2 weeks. she asked me some questions regarding my experience and then got me working on the tills to see how i liked it for about 10 minutes. after that i could leave.
straight forward, in person interview. invited to a discovery day, a few weeks to hear any call back or feedback but in the end they will end up a hiring internally unfortunately.
