I applied through Tesla's website and then in a week or two received an invite for a phone interview. The phone interview went well, the recruiter seemed to be engaged. At the end of the call, she told me that she will get back to me by the end of the week. I did not receive any communication so I sent a follow-up email. The recruiter replied with a nice note that they choose someone else.
Straightforward interview process, had an initial phone screen first, then a panel interview with 4 team members. Overall, the interviews were not too difficult, however some of the team members during the panel had their camera off, which was off-putting. There was not too much communication between rounds so I was unsure of what was going on at times. Overall, I was not too impressed with the interview process and communication from the hiring team.
