      Difficult interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Texas Instruments

      Interview

Needed to give a 10-minute presentation, then was asked a set of behavioral and technical questions. The interview was online. The interview was supposed to last an hour but went up to around an hour and a half.

      Question 1

Q: How did you change a person's way of thinking?

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Texas Instruments (Dallas, TX) in Jan 2025

      Interview

Recruiter reached out after receiving my resume, where we set up an interview. It was a virtual, hour long interview with a current product engineer. The interview was half behavioral and half technical, with the technical questions being about some of the projects or experiences you have worked on.

      Question 1

Tell me about an organizational strategy you use, and how it has helped you and hurt you?

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Texas Instruments (Davis, CA) in Nov 2024

      Interview

Multi-round interview starting at UC Davis career fair: 0. Talk to recruiters at UC Davis career fair and may or may not get scheduled 1. Interview on UC Davis campus 2. Online interview with somebody in the role 3. Online interview/role discussion with future manager Overall: Interviewees do not know which branch we will go to during the interviews! However, I was able to ask about going to a specific branch at the second interview. Additionally, interviewees do not necessarily know the exact role they are interviewing for (PVT rotation? Product? Test only? etc.) and the hiring process may take a few months. I heard back after the first interview in 3 weeks, and the time between the 2nd and 3rd interviews was about 3 months. Even then, since the hiring process started early, the process was complete before most other places responded to me.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Describe a time when you were able to convince somebody to do something you thought was right that they did not initially want to do.
