Pros

One of the top semicon companies. Ahead in systems automation vs other companies. Good training ground for fresh grads in terms of working in a fast-paced competitive environment. Profit is very stable.

Cons

- shifting schedules for engineers - not good for your health long-term - working culture fosters unhealthy/ toxic competition. its not even about the fast-paced work - thats fine. - unstructured KPI deployment leaves a lot of room for favouritism - behind in other areas of tech'l skills devt of engrs as they end up being more focused in day-to-day firefighting. - it is always mfg-critical so engrs do mostly sustaining work and basically a lot of leg-work for LBE - made me dread my phone's ring tone and doing OT is common.
