The interview process was much more laid back than I thought it would be, but it is still good to be prepared. My interviewee was one of the staff members of the particular program I was interested in. She told me about the program, what it was doing and focusing on, and what tasks I would potentially focus on as an intern. Then, she asked me about my area of study, and asked some specific questions just to test my knowledge. However, if you have a very basic knowledge of the region or subject area you are interested in, you should get by easily. I had a document of notes that I consulted during the interview which basically was a few facts about the region I focus on and anything I felt was relevant to the work I was applying to do. However, I didn't use it very much.
