Interview
Not really an interview a few calls with the recruiter. So a recruiter calls me telling me about a short-term contract job that I would be a good fit for. He asked me for an expected rate and I told him that I have a rule that I don't throw out a number first. I asked him what the range was or what they were looking to spend he said he didn't know. I told him to get a number and call me back. He proceeded to badger me over and over again for a number telling me he couldn't give me one. I told him if he forces me to throw out a number I'm going to throw out a very high one. So I did. And guess what?... He never called me back. Looking at LinkedIn he's worked for The Judge Group for at least five years and was recruiting a position for a billion-dollar pharmaceutical company and he couldn't give me a number! So he was either completely incompetent or trying to screw me on the rate.
