I applied for a remote therapist position with option to be hybrid in person NYC. The first interview went well. Although the interviewer did not seem to be aware of a brick and mortar office I’ve seen signs for in NYC yet she was from another state . I went into second interview, the interviewer stated this was a position for a MA remote therapist not a NYC therapist. She said I’d have to dissolve private practice with in 6 months and also stay with thrive works for 18 months or pay 1800 as they would get me credentialed in MA. I did not want credentialed in MA. I was credentialed in NY so that’s most likely why they did not want me to work in NY. I asked the interviewer about self care at thrive works and she asked me to rephrase the question. This was the biggest red flag. How doesn’t someone in mental health field know what self care is? Thrive works will pay you $52 an hour which is $25 less then what insurance company pays and thus too much in my opinion.
