      Recruiter Interview

      Apr 10, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at TribalScale (Toronto, ON) in Apr 2018

      Interview

An initial telephonic screening followed by two to three in person interviews with the team and Head HR. The telephonic screening was all about knowing my past experience in technical recruitments which absolutely makes sense. The in person interviews were the reason for my dissatisfaction with the process because not even a single questions was about how I recruit or source potential candidates? How much or what I know about technology or not? Not even a single question around approach towards finding the right set of candidates, requirement gathering, screening, etc. which is like the key phases in a Recruitment lifecycle. Interview was more like a basic discussion over a cup of coffee (Imaginery, there was no coffee :D) about everything else instead of testing me on my recruitment/sourcing skills. Adding to the misery is that there has been no feedback shared as to what can be improved or looked for a candidate's betterment. No hard feelings but the company needs to learn a bit about employer branding and candidate experience. Criteria of selection is totally vague. (Thumbs down)

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. It is very important to us at TribalScale that all candidates have a positive experience regardless of outcome. As such, we hope to address your comments to the best of our abilities. At TribalScale, we approach interviews in what we believe is a more personable and comfortable way. After our telephone screen, where we explicitly uncover candidate qualifications, past experience, know-how, etc., our in-person interviews help to assess behaviour and personality-fit. Through a less formal, in-person interview (i.e. little to no direct probing, linear questioning, etc.) we strive to get to know the candidate on a more personal level. Culture is incredibly important to TribalScale and we believe getting to know a candidate beyond their qualifications is just as important as the qualifications themselves. This approach and practice is in line with TribalScale’s open and interactive culture of transparency and collaboration. We are cognizant of the candidate cycle and the pressure candidates often feeI. As such, we aim for a quick process. We are glad to hear from application to feedback it was a 5-day process as we always strive to provide candidates with an efficient and effective interview experience. TribalScale is always looking to improve, so again, thank you for your feedback. Best Regards, TribalScale
