A few days after completing the online application, I recieved a phone call from the store manager. He did not invite me for an interview, per se, but rather, asked me to come into the store and pick up a packet, review it, and tell him if I was interested in the job or not. This is because, I believe, I am a girl, and this job isn't exactly what you'd expect for being a Cust. Service Rep. I reviewed the packet, which went over protocol for cleaning, receiving, and dispatching trucks. I called him and we set up an interview. The interview took place in his office, and really wasn't your traditional interview. It was a mix of dialogue from him describing the company and questions about my work experience. Phone experience is definitely a plus with U-Haul. At the end, I was given a job offer and accepted. There was no drug test. After the interview, they will have you go to HQ to get your uniform and scan your SSN card. I have no idea why, but that's what happened.
